Michael has concentrated his practice in real estate law since his admission to the Illinois bar in 2012. He has been with Kessler & Keirnan and its predecessor, Stuart M. Kessler, P.C., since early 2015. In that time, Michael has developed extensive experience representing lenders, servicers, outsourcers, and note holders in the disposition of over 1,000 REO properties throughout Illinois. As both a closing attorney and title clearance attorney, Michael approaches each transaction with a level of experience and sophistication that sets him apart from other attorneys in the field.
Michael also has substantial experience representing a variety of clients, ranging from first time buyers and sellers to sophisticated investors, in the purchase and sale of residential, multi-unit residential and commercial properties. Michael’s services include contract drafting and negotiation, attending to attorney review, survey and inspection issues, title review and clearance, review and preparation of closing documents, as well as coordination and completion of the closing
Prior to coming to Kessler & Keirnan, Michael worked for the City of Chicago in the Building and License Enforcement Section. After that he worked for a well-respected foreclosure litigation firm in downtown Chicago. This experience in real estate-related litigation and administrative hearings has equipped Michael with the legal knowledge and analytical skills to effectively work through any real estate issue his clients may face.
Michael is fluent in Polish and is a passionate Chicago Cubs fan. Outside of the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his nephew, Dominic, and networking with real estate investors and entrepreneurs.
